Muay Thai

Muay Thai, which is Thailand's national sport, is referred to as the "art of eight limbs" due to  making use of punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes, thus using eight "points of contact". Muay Thai has been practiced for over one thousand years although the modern form officially began in a ring in 1921. Focused predominantly on the striking elements Muay Thai also incorporates grappling and throwing techniques from the clinch.

At Dominance our Muay Thai program is directed by head coach Keith Grant, an established and highly experienced trainer. He is supported by Andy Colgrave who boasts a highly successful fight record with a great reputation as technical and professional coach. In addition we often bring in world renowned fighters and coaches for guest spots to offer additional insights to the art of Muay Thai.

We focus on ensuring a positive training environment built on training hard while working as part of team helping each other improve. Not only to become physically and mentally strong but also having a deep technical understanding of the art of Muay Thai.

Whether you wish to simply study Muay Thai for recreation or to step in the ring and fight, becoming part of the Dominance team will have you reach your goals.
